A portion of Department of Education Office Building was set on fire in Cotabato City around 8:45 PM on Saturday, January 16,2020.
An estimated Php 1.5 Million worth of DepEd properties were destroyed due to fire-out on Saturday after it was reported by the security guard-in-charge. According to the security, he heard a loud explosion before the fire broke out.
The Bureau Fire Protection (BFP) immediately responded to the place of incident where they declared a fire-out around 9:15 PM.
Electrical short circuit is the initial result of BFP’s initial investigation.
