Time flies by fast. In an instant, this week is already the start of the last month of the school year. Graduation and recognition is just around the corner. It is that time of the year when you give your students the awards they deserve for working hard studying.
So, I thought of looking for websites dedicated in making award certificates. Albeit you may already have formats for the last years, but it is not also a bad idea if you try to look for new ones.
Here are four website that i googled and why i think you must check them out.

So starting out is what i think a very good platform where you can actually customize the certificates before you download it as a PNG or directly print it. There is no downloadable MS Word format though but still since you can edit it online, you won’t most likely to. There are also a lot of options to download such as school certificates for academics, sports, reading certificates, cute certificates, and the list goes on.
I have checked out almost all the certificate formats they have and they really have great designs. I do like most of it. And also, all of their products are for free. Remember though that they have some restrictions on how to use their products, which is stated at the bottom of their website pages. Overall, if i rate them out it would be 8 out of 10.

Next on the list is also similar to the previous one where you can customize or edit the certificate that you want online. You can type your name, what kind of certificate it is, etc. You can change the background color to different colors like pink, blue or green, and on the bottom left (not always) of the certificate is what you call a badge. It can be changed to a gold or silver trophy with a lot of styles, a star, ribbon and more, which i find quite amusing. Once your finish customizing the certificate, press “preview my changes” button and it will be downloaded to a PDF format only.
The downside though is that their logo is included in the certificate and you can’t remove it unless you pay for it. Access to premium certificates and adding your own logo also needs to be paid for. Which is why I rate awardbox.com a 6 out of 10. Since I think the prices are all unreasonably high for a teacher to pay for. But if you do not care about the logo or you have some way of removing it then the free ones are great.

Next on the list is freeprintablecertificates.net which offers a free version and a $5 version, not so free after all doesn’t it? Jokes aside, you can pick from over 1928 certificate designs not just for school but to different categories as well such as for business, anniversaries and many more.
The free version though is only available in PDF format. While, the $5 version is available in Microsoft Word (.DOC) format. 6 out of 10 would be the rating because as we all know it is hard to edit documents in PDF formats and I know that 5 dollars is already a bit expensive for a teacher to pay.

Last but not the least. As the name of the website goes, the designs for these certificates are mostly for kids. But even though, I think that older students will love these designs since it is very creative and clean to look at. They have a lot of designs where you can choose at. I give them a score of 6 out of 10 because you need to subscribe before you can personalize the certificate. It would be $12 for 6 months.
If you want to upgrade to be a member, the main difference between the free version of KidsCerts and the members version is that members have access to many more frames and can upload personalized background graphics, like logos and mascots. Another cool feature subscribers have is that they can print up to 50 awards at once, for times when the different people are receiving the same award (like completion of a course) – which is a HUGE time saver. Aside from those things, the free version is exactly the same, that way you can know exactly how it works before you decide to subscribe.
Overall, I recommend checking out 123certificates.com since they offer a lot of certificate designs which you can customize online and directly print it. And of course I recommend it because its free. But if you don’t have problem paying for the certificates then you can also check out the others. Frankly the last three are 6 out of 10 mostly because of the pay to download certificates. But excluding that the certificate designs they offer all good specially kidscerts.com.
