The Department of Education Secretary cited on December 16,2020 that the transmission of COVID 19 is lower in schools than at home following the recent approval of President Rodrigo R. Duterte on the face-to-face classes for the COVID-19 low-risk areas.
Sec. Leonor M. Briones claims on Wednesday that COVID 19 transmission is lower than at home after PRRD approved the limited face-to-face classes on January. However, some medical experts explained that it is too early to claim such speculations.

The proposed set up would be voluntary with consent from parents and guardians. Minimum health protocols such as wearing face mask and face shield and social distancing shall also be observed.
“Sinasabi na lahat ng pag-aaral, nagpapakita na ang pinaka-lowest threat ay sa schools.Ang malaking posibilidad ay sa homes, kasi that is where they spend most of their time and other places.” Briones during the Laging Handa public briefing.
A total of 1,1114 schools were identified to participate in the dry-run of the face-t-face-classes
