Philippine National Police-Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC) confirmed the successful rescue of four young females from online sexual exploitation in Barangay Upper Bicutan, Taguig City during operations executed last week.
PNP-WCPC chief Col. Portia Manalad revealed in a Sunday press release that the operation followed the arrest of an Australian suspect involved in trafficking women and online sexual exploitation in Australia. Australian Federal Police (AFP) reportedly discovered explicit materials pertaining to the four Filipino minors while apprehending the suspect.
Manalad stated, “Upon the discovery, AFP liaised with PNP for verification, victim location, and planning of a potential rescue operation.”

The rescue missions were strategically conducted on Thursday and Friday, successfully liberating the victims from their harrowing predicament. The minors have since been transported to the WCPC office in Camp Crame, Quezon City for their safety and recovery.
Col. Manalad assured that PNP would continue its relentless campaign against the trafficking and exploitation of women and children. “There will be no letup in our pursuit to protect and uphold the rights of the vulnerable,” Manalad emphasized.
The recent operation marks another significant step in the country’s battle against human trafficking and online exploitation.
