Based on the information provided, the P5,000 cash allowance aims to assist deserving teachers in purchasing teaching materials and equipment, as well as to cover internet subscription costs. Moreover, the funds are also designated for other communication expenses and annual medical expenditures for the upcoming school year.

The DepEd highlighted that due to the “exigency of the entire teaching force”, the P5,000 cash allowance for implementing units of DepEd with available cash allocations should be distributed to qualified educators by the end of August.

DepEd emphasized that Regional Offices must ensure that the allotments for this purpose are promptly processed and released to the Schools Division Offices.
