Back in June, Abzione Reño’s story touch the hearts of many, as his inspiring story was given the spotlight. After high school, Reño had to find a job so he could support his family. He tried odd job after odd job, from a janitor, a houseboy, a security guard, and a factory worker.

It was in 2008 when he graduated from high school. But instead of going straight to college, he decided to leave his hometown Butuan City to look for a job in Manila. Throughout his experiences holding several jobs, he was able to support his family, however he later on realized that he would help them better if he had a higher-paying job and a stable career.

So at age 23, Reño went back home and enrolled at Caraga State University and took Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, Major in Math. He also found a scholarship program to support his studies.
